The Fishing Council of Britannia and Kijustsu Anei Keys hosted the bi-weekly net toss this past Sunday. Twenty-five green nets and Two white fabled nets were thrown this week. One lucky participant had a special item drop from one of the Leviathans. The event was made to gather people for a "Hack and Slash" before the weekly Hall of Commons meeting on Sunday at 9:00pm EST. If you wish to partake in this Net Toss just show up to the Pier at 8:15pm and be ready to take on the sea creatures at 8:30pm. You just might be lucky enough to get a Ghost Ship Anchor or Seahorse drop! Gates will open from the Pier to the Hall of Common at 8:50pm.

UOGuide Newsletter June 2010

The first UOGuide newsletter has been sent out. It was a lot of work but I am proud of the results. We are looking for feedback on how to improve the next edition, let us know your thoughts. Historic Net Toss Saturday!!!

The Great Lakes crew is proud to announce that Saturday night (May 22) at 8:00 p.m. EST at the Buccaneer's Den docks we will hold a HISTORIC net toss.

ONE THOUSAND nets will be tossed!

The nets are donated by our great friends at the Majestic Oaks Auction House (MOA) and our Chicken Fight Club (CFC) friends will be lending a hand as well!

The rules are simple. No pets. No summoned creatures. No barding. Just hand to hand, archery, and magecraft. You keep the loot.

Free rezzes at the end of the dock. (You'll need them.)

If you've never been to one, a net toss is a blast, and this one will be historic!

Some Improvements Coming

UO Producer Calvin Crowner mentioned this in his recent post about upcoming UO changes:

The ability for boats to plot courses on Treasure maps … (oh and I might as well tell you now we are targeting a major update to treasure maps for the middle of this Summer).

It's small, but it some improvement for sea-farers.

FCB Great Lakes Honored!

The Great Lakes crew is very proud to announce that our town surrounding the FCB FishMarket has been honored by EM Elizabella....and we have a new sign to prove it!

FCB Harbor is now an official town on GL.

Our thanks to our most excellent EM for this recognition!

Great News for Legends

Ahoy!

My name is Charity and I'm the new Fleet Captain of the Fishing Council of Britannia (FCB) - Legends Fleet. I have been a member of the FCB on Legends since 2004. When our previous captain, Zippo, decided to retire, we discussed my taking over the fleet to try and keep us afloat. Sadly, do to a mail ship lost at sea, our messages were never received before his departure. After over a years time, word finally got through to Gem who immediately responded with joy upon hearing my requests. I asked that the Legends fleet not be forgotten, that we were still here and have just been floating by waiting and hoping someone would finally get our messages.

I know that this will be difficult, as Legends is a small shard of our great lands, but I promise that I will make sure the community here still knows we exist and what the FCB is all about. With any luck, surviving members will help me do this task. I hope that one day our crew will grow and return to the familiar atmosphere of family and friendship we once had.

(GL) Attend the Coronation Friday Night

This Friday eve (Oct. 9) on Great Lakes at 8 p.m.. CST, will be the coronation of Dawn at Castle British.

Gem has been asked to be one of the speakers in Queen Dawn's honor!

Immediately after the coronation, we will hold a net toss in our new queen's honor--at the Buccaneer's Den dock.
